Indianapolis has attracted a new North American headquarters of a global cloud marketing company. Austria-based Emarsys is planning to invest $3.2 million and create more than 150 jobs in the city and is already hiring sales, customer support and professional services positions. The company has more than a dozen locations worldwide serving clients including eBay, Toys "R" Us, Yahoo and Volvo.
The company already has a small presence in the city's downtown, with 25 workers at a site in Market Tower on Monument Circle.
It also has smaller locations in U.S. tech hot beds San Fransisco and Austin.
President of the Americas Sean Brady, who previously served as vice president of existing business in North America for competitor ExactTarget, says Indy's talented work force and growing tech scene reinforce its reputation as "the Silicon Valley of the Midwest."
We'll have more on the company's choice to locate to Indianapolis throughout the day, including an interview with Sean Brady.
