IndyGo, Uber Reduce Fees for Essential Workers

IndyGo is partnering with Uber for a limited time to offer one round trip Uber ride each work day for workers within Marion County. IndyGo will take a trip request via phone and will then book the Uber ride on behalf of workers through Uber Central, a web-based reservation system.
A $60 subscription fee would be required by May 1 to continue using the service through May.
“IndyGo is committed to reducing transportation barriers for all, and especially our city’s essential workers who are still traveling every day,” IndyGo CEO, Inez Evans noted. “This partnership while providing an immediate mobility option will also supply the agency critical data to shape our ongoing work.”
Pre-registration runs from Tuesday, April 21-22, with registration continuing till May 1. Funding for the service is through the CARES Act for transit support during COVID-19.
