Kevin Whited is stepping down as executive director of IndyCog. He is leaving to serve as the new transportation demand management coordinator and bicycle manager at Indiana University’s Bloomington campus. Whited co-founded IndyCog, which works to promote bicycling and bike safety in Indianapolis. During his tenure, Indianapolis was named a bronze-level bicycle friendly city and the organization has hosted the city’s "Bike to Work Day" for the past six years. Additionally, IndyCog launched its Riders In the Know education program, released the Indy Ride Guide cycling map, initiated a Stolen Bike Registry and hosted the city’s Bike to Work Day from 2010 to 2016. IndyCog says its board of directors is in the process of selecting an interim executive director who will serve until a permanent successor is found.
