The next Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will feature a new series of exhibition races. The event is a collaboration between invitational organizer Sportscar Vintage Racing Association and the Blain Motorsports Foundation and will showcase pre-World War I-era racecars.
The fifth annual Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational will take place June 14th through 17th.
SVRA Chief Executive Officer Tony Parella says "not only will these historic cars be stretching their legs on the track, but with the work of Brian Blain and his foundation along with Hagerty there will also be educational and informative displays of tools, spares, period clothing that capture the feel of life in 1920 and before. This is rich content that adds to our automobile-themed festivals at SVRA events."
The new exhibition will include fields of up to 20 at the Brickyard Invitational, U.S. Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins Glen and the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival, which are all SVRA events.
