Larry Delia has been named president of Dispatch Printing Co.’s television division. Delia has led WTHR since August 2013.
In the expanded role, Delia will oversee WTHR as well as WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio. He says he is "equal parts thrilled and humbled at the opportunity" to serve in his new position for Dispatch, "with its rich history of journalistic integrity and community service."
Before coming to WTHR in 2013, Delia was vice president and general manager of Tribune Media Company’s WXIN-TV, which is Indianapolis’ FOX affiliate and WTTV-TV, which is now Indy’s CBS affiliate. His previous experience also includes leadership roles at stations in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, New Orleans, Burlington, Vermont and Hartford, Connecticut. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Dispatch Joseph Gallo says Delia’s experience "will serve the Dispatch Broadcasting Group legacy well," adding that his "leadership and strategic vision has solidified WTHR’s dominance in a very competitive market."
Delia will continue to oversee daily operations at WTHR.
