Indy to Host Minor League Hockey All-Star Game

The Indy Fuel has been selected to host the 2018 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic. Officials with the league say the previous 10 all-star games have each had a $1 million economic impact on their respective host cities.
The event is slated for January 15 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and will include the game, a skills competition and the induction ceremony for the 11th ECHL Hall of Fame class.
Fuel Chief Executive Officer Sean Hallett says "the Indy Fuel organization is thrilled to have the opportunity to host the 2018 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic. Indianapolis has long been a premiere destination for marquee events, and we are excited to showcase our great city to hockey fans across the country. From Wayne Gretzky and the Racers to today and the gorgeous Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Central Indiana has a rich professional hockey history which we are looking forward to sharing with a national television audience."
