Indianapolis-based social content platform Odyssey says it will invest $1.4 million to expand its Indianapolis headquarters and create 90 jobs by 2017. Since launching digitally in June 2014, Odyssey says it has grown to more than 16 million monthly unique users.
Odyssey currently has a presence in more than 400 local communities. It hopes to reach 500 communities by the end of the year, and 100 million unique monthly users in 2016.
The company bills itself as a "Millennial-driven social content platform" Odyssey says it features thousands of Millennial writers from throughout the United States sharing ideas about what matters to them. The company says its platform allows that content to find "its most relevant audience" though social sharing.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Odyssey up to $600,000 on conditional tax credits based and training grants based on its job creation plans. The company says its New York City location has 30 workers.
