The Metropolitan School District of Decatur Township in Indianapolis will Friday celebrate the grand opening of its Innovation and Design Hub. The district says the creative learning space is the first of its kind and will feature advanced technology such as 3D printers, a computer programming lab and audio/visual production capabilities.
The district says the space will benefit not only Decatur Township students, but also industry partners and members of the local community. The hub will serve as a space for students to work with industry partners on class projects, industry challenges, and other work-based learning opportunities.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place after the quarterly Superintendent’s Community Leaders Luncheon at the Decatur Township School of Excellence Community Room.
