The list from Business.org ranks the cities based on criteria including average change in employment for startups during their initial five years.
The website used data for the 40 largest metropolitan areas from the U.S. Census Bureau, as well as the Kauffman Index’s 2017 Growth Entrepreneurship Report. Some of the other criteria includes percentage of the population ages 25-34, and the same percentage of the population holding a bachelor’s degree.
Indianapolis ranks 15th on the list. The ranking is led by San Francisco, Austin, Minneapolis, San Jose and Columbus, Ohio. You can connect to the full list by clicking here.
