A new list touts Indianapolis as of the top cities in the U.S. when it comes to employment. California-based job and recruiting website Glassdoor ranks Indy among the "Best Cities For Jobs."

Indianapolis is ranked second on the list, behind Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The rankings were determined based on a comparison of the top 50 U.S. metropolitan areas. Criteria used to create the list include hiring opportunity, cost of living and job satisfaction.

According to Glassdoor, Indy has more than 80,500 job openings throughout the city with a mean base salary of $43,000. The city’s job satisfaction level came in at 3.3 out of 5.

The top five is rounded out by Kansas City, Missouri, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina and St. Louis, Missouri. You can see the full ranking by clicking here.
