Indy Pride Inc. has appointed Christopher Warren Handberg its first executive director. He will serve as a single point of contact for the board of directors, business operations, financial management, public relations, and manage festival planning and execution to ensure comprehensive oversight for all Indy Pride operations. 

Handberg comes from a long history of volunteer-based leadership with nine years outreach experience at the Julian Center and three years as director of programs and research at the Domestic Violence Network. His community involvement includes experience as a teacher for Carmel Clay schools and as a youth pastor.

Handberg was selected from 65 applicants across the U.S. by a committee of two board members and four Indy Pride members.
