Statement from Mayor Greg Ballard on Committee Approval of Early Childhood Education Plan:

“Indy's plan to help make high-quality preschool affordable for children from low income families took a major step forward this evening. This new program is one of the key components in our holistic plan to address the root causes of crime and poverty, making Indy a safer place to live.

It is my sincere hope the full Council acts quickly to pass and fully fund this initiative so we can start enrolling children in preschool next year.”
