Indy Parks Looking to Fill Summer Jobs

Indy Parks is looking to fill 400 summer jobs through a pair of job fairs over the next few weeks. The jobs, which are part of the Project Indy youth jobs program, include lifeguards, day camp counselors and pool managers.

The first job fair takes place Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Thatcher Park, located at 4649 West Vermont Street. The second will be held April 14 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Park, at 3500 Brookside Parkway South Drive. 

Indy Parks says the job opportunities provide a starting pay between $8 and $15 per hour. The Indiana Sports Corp. is working with Indy Parks to provide free lifeguard training April 6-8 at George Washington Community School Pool.
