Live Nation (NYSE: LYV) has announced South Bend-based Teachers Credit Union will be the new name-in-title sponsor for the popular music venue, which will now be known as the TCU Amphitheater at White River State Park.
The new name is just one of many changes the venue has experienced over the last few years. In 2018, the White River State Park Development Commission announced plans to transform the site into a permanent concert venue. In addition to the new, permanent stage, the venue includes a canopy covering new fixed seating, updated artist and crew facilities, and LED video walls.
“As we prepare to return to live this summer, we celebrate partnerships like this that help make the dream of building an iconic downtown outdoor venue a reality,” Andrew Newport, Live Nation General Manager – Indianapolis, said in a news release. “Additionally, we would like to thank the many people that collaborated on both the naming rights partnership and the construction of this beautiful, newly enhanced venue. This project is a true testament to the power of live music in Indianapolis.”
Financial terms of the naming rights were not disclosed.
