Inside INdiana Sports Contributor Bill Benner believes Indianapolis should go after the game, saying “this is what we built the city for.” Benner and Moran discussed a potential bid on this weekend's edition of Inside INdiana Business Television. Bidding is open for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 games. On this weekend's program, Benner and Moran talked about the possible impact the game could bring to the Circle City. Benner says Indianapolis should make a bid. “This is what we do. This is what we built the city for,” Benner said.
“The compactness of the downtown becomes a major asset. You don't need to rent a car. Once you’re here, you unpack your bag and you walk to the game,” Moran said.
Moran believes the timing will determine whether they go forward. Cities have to submit their intent to bid by May 2015.
