A formal announcement is expected today before the mayor leaves for a trip to Europe. Our partners at WTHR-TV report Ballard says “some things just feel right.” Two top challengers have emerged from the ranks of democrats. They are former U.S. District Attorney Joe Hogsett and State Representative Ed Delaney.
A spokesman for the mayor's office says Ballard is “still focused on the next 15 months.”
The mayor has a campaign war chest of $700,000, and tells WTHR he'd be open to giving some to another candidate.
