Our partners at WTHR-TV report the group that owns the mall owes more than $600,000 in property taxes, which is enough to put the property up for bid at Marion County’s next tax sale.
Kohan Retail Investment Group tells the station it is working with the county to either pay the money owed or come to an agreement before the sale. The group acquired the mall in April 2016.
They say the mall is now 85 percent occupied after allowing local merchants to fill some of the vacancies.
