Indy LISC Director Heads to National Office

Bill Taft, who has led the Indy office since 2005, has been promoted to senior vice president for economic development for LISC National.
LISC helps resident-led, community-based development organizations transform distressed communities and neighborhoods into healthy ones. In his new role, Taft will lead the expansion of LISC’s economic and workforce development efforts nationally.
Taft will continue to serve as executive director of the Indy office until a permanent successor is named. Prior to joining LISC, Taft spent 14 years as president of Southeast Neighborhood Development Inc. in Indianapolis, and has also served as executive director of Main Street Richmond.
The LISC Indianapolis Local Advisory Board is leading a search committee to fill the role.
