Indy Library Partners With Streaming Service

The Indianapolis Public Library has expanded its offering of streaming content for library cardholders. The library has partnered with hoopla digital to offer streaming of movies, television shows and music for free.
Cardholders can download the hoopla digital mobile app on their smartphones and tablets to access the content with just their email address and library card information. Users will be allowed 10 checkouts per month and content will disappear from their devices once their due date occurs. Videos will be available for 72 hours and music will be available for seven days.
"This service will help us meet the diverse needs of patrons who can now access high quality educational and entertainment resources," said Deb Lambert, director of collection management for the library. "Our strategic partnership with hoopla digital will enable individuals to instantly stream thousands of new titles to their devices. The easy-to-use interface and lack of late fees will help us expand our popular movie and music offerings in a big way."
The partnership was made through donations to the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. You can find more info on the service by clicking here.
