The department says it is looking to fill a number of positions within its operations and fleet services divisions, including heavy equipment technicians, tire truck operators, and maintenance operations technicians.
The job fairs are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The DPW says attendees will learn about what the department does, the available open positions and the application process before filling out job applications. Attendees are being encouraged to bring a resume.
The DPW says the jobs range in pay from $18-$23 per hour and include paid time off and full health benefits. The department adds preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be residents of Marion County.
