The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a more than $17 million contract to Indianapolis-based AMG Engineering & Machining Inc. The contract, which is one of two awards to separate companies, calls for the production of aircraft structural fittings for the U.S. Air Force.
AMG provides CNC machining services to produce a variety of components for the aerospace and defense, automotive, build to print, healthcare, and kitting industries.
Work on the contract will take place in Indianapolis and is expected to be complete by August of 2025. The DoD awarded a similar contract to Michigan-based Janel’s Industries Inc.
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation in Virginia is the contracting activity.
