Indy Chefs, Restaurateurs Considered For Major Awards

Indy Chefs, Restaurateurs Considered For Major Awards Martha Hoover is in the running for a national honor.

One of the restaurant industry’s most prestigious  awards competitions includes several semifinalists from Indiana. The finalists for 2016 James Beard Awards will be announced next month.

Winners in categories including best new restaurant, outstanding baker and outstanding bar program will be announced in May.

The semifinalists with Indiana connections are:

Outstanding Restaurateur (National):

Martha Hoover of Indianapolis-based Patachou Inc. (Café Patachou, Petite Chou Bistro, Napolese, and others)

Rising Star of the Year (National):

Alan Sternberg of Cerulean in Indianapolis

Best Chef (Great Lakes Region)

Jonathan Brooks of Milktooth in Indianapolis

Greg Hardesty of Recess in Indianapolis

Abbi Merriss of Bluebeard in Indianapolis
