INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – (November 14, 2013) CityWay received the highest honor of the Monumental Award tonight at the Indy Chamber's Monumental Awards dinner. The awards ceremony honored the most significant achievements by individuals and businesses that contribute to excellence in regional economic development, entrepreneurship, workforce development, architecture, design, engineering, construction and public art throughout the Indianapolis region.
“CityWay is a bold project that encompasses many aspects of design including architecture, landscape architecture, construction and public art. The overall broad spectrum of disciplines the project covers is what led to the monumental jurors' decision,” Michael Huber, president and CEO of the Indy Chamber, explained. “Every project submitted is significant to the landscape of the Indianapolis region.”
The Monumental Award was accepted by Buckingham Companies representatives.
The winner of the Monumental Award was selected by an impartial jury of community and professional leaders from the honor award winners in each of the following six categories: Architecture/Interior Design/Landscape Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Innovative Reuse, Neighborhood Revitalization and Public Art. All other award categories had sanctioning organizations selected from the specific area of discipline.
