The Boy Scouts of America Crossroads Council, which is based in Indianapolis, has named its next scout executive. Joe Wiltrout (pictured) succeeds Patrick Sterrett, who recently accepted the number two position with the Boy Scouts of America. Wiltrout previously served in the same role with the Three Fires Council in St. Charles, Illinois.

His position in Indianapolis will start in January. Wiltrout has extensive executive experience in scouting, including serving as chief operating officer with the Northern Star Council in Minneapolis/St. Paul, chief financial officer with the Daniel Webster Council in New Hampshire and senior finance director, field director and district executive with the Atlanta Area Council in Georgia.

The University of Florida graduate is an Eagle Scout.
