Indy Airport Earns Another Honor

Readers of Travel + Leisure magazine have ranked the facility among the top 10 domestic airports as part of the publication’s World’s Best Awards.
The Indy airport is ranked number two on the list, just slightly behind Portland International Airport in Oregon. The magazine says the Indy airport is "one hub that ticked off all the boxes" related to cleanliness, safety, and accessibility. One reader described the airport as "new, bright and beautiful."
"Aesthetics, safety and flow throughout the terminal are important fundamentals in the larger traveler experience," said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “We build upon that with a culture of excellent customer service, via our airport staff, concessions and a range of airport amenities all designed to leave a world-class impression.”
The airports are rated by travelers on a variety of services, such as access, check-in, security, restaurants, bars, shopping, and design. The Indy airport received a score of 79.35, behind Portland’s score of 80.70.
