Indy Airport ‘Best Airport in North America’ Again

The Indianapolis International Airport has again been named Best Airport in North America by the Airport Service Quality Awards. The state’s largest airport is receiving the honor for the fifth consecutive year.
Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez says passengers evaluated airports on 34 performance metrics, including access, check-in, security screening and restaurants. "This is never a small feat," he said. "To earn their top marks for five years running is a significantly encouraging message to the IND staff that work tremendously hard to ensure a stellar customer experience."
IND has also been named Best Airport by Size and Region in North America and was third place internationally in Best Airport by Size, both honors are for airports serving 5-15 million passengers per year. The Best Airport in North America award is for airports serving 2 million customers or more. IND was one of more than 300 participating in the survey.
