Senior Partner Kelly Flynn as president of the IAA board. Flynn has served on the board since 2004, when he was appointed by then-Mayor Bart Peterson.
Flynn succeeds Michael Wells, whose presidential term expired in December. Wells will remain on the IAA board. Flynn’s previous role as board vice president has been filled by board member Jean Wojtowicz.
"It is an honor to serve as the IAA board president because it is not just a position. It is fueled by my passion for aviation and for an airport that is a wonderful community asset," said Flynn. "The board remains committed to working with IAA leaders to sustain IND’s impact as a $4.5 billion a year economic engine in Central Indiana and as a world-class gateway into our community, serving seven million passengers a year, with award-winning customer service."
Flynn is a senior partner for commercial real estate firm Flynn & Zinkan Realty Co. and has previously served as a Marion County deputy sheriff and volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Castleton and Lawrence Township fire departments. He is also a former member of the Indiana Task Force One Urban Search and Rescue Team.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett also appointed Barbara Glass as a new IAA board member. Glass, a consultant for the Lilly Foundation, is filling a vacant position.
