INDOT to Study U.S. 30 Corridor

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a Planning and Environmental Linkage study for the U.S. 30 corridor from Valparaiso to the Ohio state line. INDOT says the study will include examination of mobility, safety, and economic development.

According to the department, stakeholders and the public will be asked to provide ideas and input on ways to improve U.S. 30 to enhance safety and mobility.

INDOT says the study is “a collaborative and integrated approach to transportation decision-making.”

The study aims to consider environmental, community, and economic goals as well as use information and analysis to inform potential environmental impacts.

INDOT says the PEL will be a multi-year, comprehensive study that is expected to begin by early 2022.
