The Indiana Department of Transportation will host two public meetings this month to explain plans for the expansion of Interstate 70 in Wayne County. Last month, INDOT announced the multi-million-dollar project that would widen the interstate from four to six lanes across a more than 20-mile stretch.
The project would run from west of Cambridge City to the Ohio State line.
INDOT says the Revive I-70 project will also include improvements to 40 bridges and replacement of drainage structures.
In-person meeting: Jan 23, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Indiana University East/Whitewater Hall in Richmond.
Virtual meeting: Jan 24, 6:00 p.m. Via Microsoft teams, click here to register.
Construction is expected to begin in late 2024. INDOT says duration will depend on project development, construction phasing and future funding.
