The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir has appointed Liam Bonner executive director, beginning in January 2019. He previously served as manager of the Houston Symphony Orchestra’s development department annual giving groups, fundraising specialist for the annual Ima Hogg Competition. Prior to that, Bonner was as a professional singer with noted solo performances at the Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, English National Opera, Minnesota Opera and Houston Grand Opera, as well as with the Dallas and St. Louis Symphonies and the Bard Summer Music Festival.

The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, currently in its 82nd season, is a professionally managed independent performing arts organization governed by a community board of directors and comprised of nearly 200 adult volunteer singers. It presents as many as 10 different annual productions before a total live annual audience of more than 25,000 patrons. Regularly heard and seen nationwide on broadcast and subscription radio and television, the Symphonic Choir’s latest CD is the Naxos release of “ZABUR,” featuring the world premiere performance of this work by Mohammed Fairouz, commissioned by the Symphonic Choir in 2014.
