Indianapolis-based Ceramica Inc., a wholesale manufacturer of engraved masonry and stone building materials, is adding to its footprint with the acquisition of Fundraising Brick LLC, also based in Indy.
Ceramica said the deal, valued at $820,000, allows the company to expand its product offerings and increase production capacity.
Fundraising Brick specializes in personalized and commemorative laser-engraved bricks and tiles used in fundraising campaigns.
“This acquisition is the first step in a period of strategic growth, positioning both businesses to successfully evolve and expand,” said Zack Light, who co-owns of Ceramica and now Fundraising Brick with Shana Light.
Fundraising Brick was originally based in Missouri with four full-time staff members. A spokesperson for Ceramica said two of those employees are being retained and working remotely.
Ceramica has also hired three new employees in Indianapolis to support production for both companies. The acquisition brings the company’s total employee headcount to 14.
“It has been an incredible journey building Fundraising Brick, and I am proud of what we have accomplished,” said Jennifer Stemmley, CEO of Fundraising Brick. “I am confident that this next chapter will be the best yet for both organizations. Under Zack and Shana’s leadership, customers can expect further innovation, exceptional service and exciting new customization opportunities.”
Zack and Shana Light are third-generation owners of Ceramica. They will continue to lead both companies, which will operate as separate entities.
