The Indiana Youth Institute has added three members to its board of directors: Linda Hammond of Elkhart, Juli Metzger of Yorktown and Ann Lathrop of Indianapolis.

Hammond works as an independent human resources consultant in northern Indiana. She earned her bachelor’s degree in human resources from the University of Missouri-Columbia and went on to earn her Master of Science-Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. Hammond has worked with organizations such as Martin’s Super Markets, Personnel Partners, Child and Parent Services and North American Signs.

Metzger is a longtime journalist and currently works as an instructor for Ball State University’s Department of Journalism. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in information and communication sciences from Ball State University. Metzger has spent more than a decade volunteering in youth development and mentoring programs throughout Delaware County. Also, she serves on the board for the Boys & Girls Club of Muncie and is board vice president for Project Leadership.

Lathrop serves as chief marketing officer and office managing partner at Crowe Horwath LLP. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Diego State University and is a certified public accountant. Lathrop has more than 25 years of experience in the private and public sectors, including serving as the controller for the city of Indianapolis-Marion County for two years. She also currently serves on the boards for St. Vincent Hospital and Visit Indy, and is a member of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee.
