Indiana Toll Road rates see another uptick in annual increase

Elkhart-based ITR Concession Co. has implemented its annual increase to toll rates along the Indiana Toll Road. The company says the toll rate for a full-length trip across the 157-mile toll road for a Class 2 passenger vehicle will now be $16.21, an increase of 67 cents.
A full-length trip for a Class 5 truck is now $87.49, an increase of $4.13 from last year.
ITR Concession Co. said in a news release that toll rates vary according to vehicle class, distance traveled, and payment method, with most customers paying substantially lower than the full-length maximum fair.
The average Class 2 passenger vehicle toll rate, according to the company, is approximately $4. You can view a breakdown of toll rates for all vehicle classes here.
The ITRCC is required to use toll revenues to invest in ongoing enhancements to roadway infrastructure and customer services.
The company is currently in the midst of a 34-mile Pavement Upgrade for a Superior Highway, or PUSH, project, which includes repairs to 26 bridges between Howe and the Ohio state line, as well as improvements to the Exit 144 interchange in Angola.
