Indiana Tech to Host Hackathon

Subscribe NowIndiana Tech’s Center for Creative Collaboration will bring together developers, coders, designers and entrepreneurs next weekend for its second WarriorHack hackathon. The 24-hour marathon, during which participants will build products and solve problems presented by area companies and nonprofits, will be begin the morning of April 2.
The participants will include students from Indiana Tech and other universities, along with professionals in the information technology and programming areas. They will form teams after seeing presentations from area organizations on specific challenges and the teams will decide which challenge they wish to work on.
At the end of the competition, the teams will present their solutions and the first place team will win $1,000. The second place team will win $500.
"If last year’s first WarriorHack was any indication, this is going to be an exciting whirlwind of an event," said Mark Richter, executive director of the C3. "The coders, designers, developers and entrepreneurs who participate will have some challenging problems to solve in just 24 hours. Events like this foster innovation in our community, which is one of the driving reasons why we created the C3 here at Indiana Tech."
