A cybersecurity team from Indiana Tech will be battling for a national title. The Cyber Warriors are among 10 National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition Championship finalists competing Friday through Sunday in Orlando. The team reached NCCDC Championships by winning the Erich J. Spengler Midwest Regional Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition last month in Chicago.
Indiana Tech says the championships involve building and defending a mock production business infrastructure from opposing professional hackers aiming to breach their security.
Finalists include Indiana Tech, Utah Valley University, University of Virginia, University of Buffalo, California State University Northridge, Dakota State University, University of Washington, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Baylor University and University of Central Florida. The qualifying and regional events included more than 230 college and university teams. You can connect to more about the event by clicking here.
