Indiana Tech Assistant Professor Honored

She is an assistant professor of education. The award was established in 2008 by community supporter and owner of Leepoxy Plastics, Larry Lee. Taylor was recognized for this distinction because of her extensive use of a clinically-based approach to teacher education. Throughout her career in higher education, she has committed herself to utilizing methods to ensure that her students are adequately prepared to successfully enter their careers as professional educators on their very first day. Taylor accomplishes this goals by utilizing methods that extensively integrate the use of clinical modelling and clinically-based practice. These research-based strategies have been shown to help teacher candidates develop the essential knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary for highly effective teaching.
