Indiana State Fair Looking For Seasonal Employees

The Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center is looking to fill more than 600 seasonal positions ahead of this year’s Indiana State Fair. The annual Indiana State Fair Job Fair will be held next week.
The job fair June 1 will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Farm Bureau Building at the fairgrounds. Anyone aged 14 and up will be able to submit an application. All attendees in line before 6:00 will have an opportunity to fill out an application and receive an initial interview.
"How many seasonal jobs get you into the State Fair every day, where people come to have fun," said Mark Anderson, human resources director. "Many of the Fairgrounds’ 200 plus year round event, part-time and full-time employees began as seasonal employees working at the State Fair."
The fairgrounds says 80 percent of the 600 positions last year were filled by job fair attendees. Some of the positions include ticket sellers, gate supervisors, security personnel, parking attendants, parking supervisors and information booth staff.
