Indiana Schools Earn Bowl Bids

Indiana University will be playing in its first bowl game since 2007, while the University of Notre Dame will face a big-name opponent on New Year’s Day.
IU will play Duke on Saturday, December 26 in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in New York. The game will be broadcast on ABC, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. The game marks the Hoosiers’ third bowl appearance in the last 23 years. The team went 6-6 overall, with a 2-6 Big Ten record. Duke finished with a 7-5 record, going 4-4 in the ACC.
Notre Dame will play Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl on Friday, January 1 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The matchup will be broadcast on ESPN, with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. The Fighting Irish went 10-2 on the season. Ohio State finished the regular season at 11-1, with a 7-1 Big Ten record.
