“Receiving the Gold Star designation is evidence of the strong collaboration exemplified for student success,” said Dr. Jennifer McCormick, Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction. “I want to recognize and commend these schools for understanding the tremendous impact school counselors, entire school teams, and community members have in helping our students become fully prepared for life beyond high school.”

The Gold Star designation was created in 2004 and has been awarded to over 300 Indiana elementary, middle and high schools. The official award presentations will be held at the Indiana School Counselor Association fall conference next month.
