Several Indiana hospitals are included on a list of the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the U.S. The list includes hospitals considered top performers in areas including risk management, patient satisfaction and operating costs.

The list was compiled by the National Rural Health Association’s Rural Health Policy Institute, iVantage Health Analytics and The Chartis Center for Rural Health. It is part of The Chartis Group’s 2017 Rural Relevance Study.

The Indiana hospitals named on the list include:

  • Henry Country Memorial Hospital in New Castle
  • King’s Daughter’s Health in Madison
  • Major Hospital in Shelbyville
  • Marion General Hospital
  • Memorial Hospital in South Bend
  • Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper
  • Schneck Medical Center in Seymour
