The Indiana Hospital Association has appointed Andrew VanZee vice president. He previously served as chief quality officer and health IT director for the Indiana Family Social Services Administration. One of his most significant accomplishments at the State was working with the State Department of Health to establish myvaxindiana.org, a database that enables patients to access their immunization records. In his new role, VanZee will help 170 hospitals across the state improve health care operations, information technology systems, cybersecurity and implement telemedicine capabilities. He is a former EMT and emergency room technician. VanZee holds a Master of Science Informational Systems degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, a Master of Health Administration degree from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Knox College.
