The Indiana Gaming Commission says monthly casino revenue decreased in July. The agency is reporting adjusted gross revenue of nearly $172 million, compared to more than $199 million during the same period a year earlier. Only two venues in the state recorded higher revenue last month than during the same period in 2013.

The Blue Chip Hotel Casino Spa in Michigan cited reported profit of $12.7 million, compared to $12.3 million.

Tropicana Evansville had adjusted gross revenue of $9.8 million, up from $9.3 million in July 2013.

The state's two racinos reported lower revenue. Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson took in more than $15.7 million last month, down from $18.2 million in June 2013. Indiana Grand Racing and Casino in Shelbyville recorded monthly revenue of $18.8 million, compared to $20.5 million. Racinos get a state-approved 8.5 percent deduction.

East Chicago's Ameristar Casino reported revenue of $15.5 million last month, an decrease from $17.8 million in July 2013.

Horseshoe Casino Hammond's adjusted gross revenue of nearly $33 million in July is down from more than $40.4 million during the same period last year. Horseshoe Southern Indiana's revenue ticked down to around $19.7 million, from $21.6 million.

Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg recorded on of the biggest drops. Last month, it took in $15.6 million in revenue last month, compared to $21.72 million in July 2013.

Rising Star in Rising Sun reported $4.3 million in adjusted gross revenue last month, which was down from $5.4 million one year ago. Belterra Casino in Florence was down to $9.1 million, compared to more than $12.5 million.
