Max Verkamp will take over for Bret Ackerman, who announced his resignation in late December.
Verkamp comes to Indiana Furniture after spending 23 years at Jasper-based MasterBrand Cabinets, where he served in various leadership roles in sales, marketing, IT and operations.
"Max brings many years of corporate strategic planning, development and executing initiatives for growth," said Board Chairman Phil Schneider. "We look forward to Max’s leadership in bringing increasing success to Indiana Furniture."
Ackerman remained as interim CEO until a successor was named. He had served as CEO since 2010 and said he was resigning because he believed the company would be better served by a leader with a fresh perspective and focus.
