Indiana Farmers Insurance Expanding

Indianapolis-based Indiana Farmers Insurance is growing its Midwest footprint. The company says it will expand into the property/casualty market in Ohio this year.
Indiana Farmers says it will write commercial lines and farm insurance in the Buckeye State through its network of independent insurance agents. Chief Executive Officer Kim Smith says the expansion builds on its growth that began in 2019 when the company expanded into Illinois.
“We have a great history of partnering with the best independent insurance agents,” Scott Miller, vice president of sales for Indiana Farmers Insurance, said in a news release. “In the months ahead, we will work to align ourselves with insurance professionals who will create great customer experiences for our policyholders.”
The company did not specify if any new jobs will be created as a result of the expansion.
