Indiana Donor Network names new medical director

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Donor Network, an organ, tissue and cornea recovery and donation organization, named Dr. Paul Lange its vice president of clinical operations and medical director last week. In his new position, Lange will oversee organ and tissue recovery operations and research.
Lange served in a similar role at the Donor Alliance in Denver since 2021. He also worked for the Gift of Life Michigan, the state’s organ procurement organization, as the chief medical officer and for University Hospitals of Cleveland at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he was the medical director of the lung transplant program.
“Dr. Lange is uniquely qualified to fulfill this role and shares our unwavering commitment to saving lives through organ donation and transplantation,” Indiana Donor Network President and CEO Kellie Tremain said in a news release.
Outside his time in the organ donation sphere, Lange spent three decades in graduate and undergraduate medical education, holding leadership roles throughout. He also spent 15 years at Ascension Borgess Health in Michigan where he was an intensivist, chief of the department of critical care medicine, and later, president of the medical group.
Lange is a member of several organizations, including the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society and American College of Physicians.
