A list of the nation's top 500 employers includes four Hoosier businesses. Forbes compiled the rankings based on a survey of 20,000 workers at hundreds of U.S. companies. The Indiana companies on the list are:

21. Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) in Columbus

150. Indiana University in Bloomington

380. Anthem Inc. (NYSE: ANTM) in Indianapolis

407. Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) in Indianapolis

The survey asked employees if they would recommend their employer or any other company in the same industry, to potential workers.
