Indiana Colleges Rank High in Midwest

Forbes has announced its rankings of the Best in the Midwest, part of America’s Top Colleges, which will be released Wednesday.
The top 10 in the country are: Stanford University, Williams College, Princeton University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, Pomona College, Brown University, Wesleyan University and Swarthmore College.
The University of Notre Dame rates highest in Indiana, the Midwest and 13th in the nation. Schools from Indiana ranked as follows in the Midwest:
- 1. University of Notre Dame
- 15. DePauw University
- 19. Indiana University, Bloomington
- 21. Purdue University, West Lafayette
- 23. Earlham College
Forbes bases the calculations on factors relating to return on investment, including satisfaction, on-time graduation, debt and post-graduation jobs. In all, 660 U.S. colleges are ranked in the partnership with the Center for College Affordability and Productivity. Data are derived from the Department of Education, Payscale and the Forbes "America’s Leaders" list, which aims to measure alumni success.
