The Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has elected Chuck Baldwin chairman for 2018. Baldwin, one of two managing directors of the Ogletree Deakins law firm, is based in Indianapolis and has served on the chamber’s board since 2000.
Baldwin succeeds Ron Christian, chief legal officer for Evansville-based Vectren Corp. (NYSE: VVC). The chamber says Baldwin will serve as chairman through November 2018, when the board holds its fall meeting.
"For 17 years, Chuck has been an active and engaged member of our board and he has lent his time and expertise to various policy committees and Indiana Chamber events and publications," said Indiana Chamber Chief Executive Officer Kevin Brinegar. "It’s a natural fit for him to step into the role of board chairman and we look forward to his strong leadership over the coming year."
The chamber says, during his time with the board, Baldwin has authored articles and co-authored several Indiana Chamber compliance publications. He is also a former Indiana Chamber Volunteer of the Year award winner.
