Indiana Campuses Among ‘Most Beautiful’ in The Fall

The website Best College Review ranked the "50 Most Beautiful Colleges Campuses In Autumn" based on factors including presence of an arboretum or botanical garden, recognition as a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation and historic architecture and landscaping.
It also considered the number of times a campus was mentioned on other lists and its views of mountains, rivers or lakes.
The Indiana campuses on the list are 11th-ranked Indiana University, the University of Notre Dame at 18th and Hanover College, which ranked 49th. IU was mentioned for its buildings made with Indiana limestone and landmarks like the Sample Gates and Dunn’s Woods. The site pointed out St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s lakes, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and the Golden Dome at the Main Building. Hanover, located near the Ohio River, is noted for its Environmental Education Center, Natural History Museum and proximity to Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge and Clifty Falls State Park.
