White County Economic Development Director Randy Mitchell confirmed to WLFI-TV the owners of Indiana Beach in Monticello were unsuccessful in finding buyers for the property.
The park has been owned by Apex Parks Group since 2015. Mitchell told the station he was informed the closure was for financial reasons and Apex Parks also closed three additional amusement parks.
According to WLFI, Indiana Beach still has nearly 30 employees, though it is uncertain what the future will hold for those jobs.
